What we collect when you use GoFlora Suite, why we need it, and who else sees it.

Last updated 30 August 2026

Who this covers

This policy applies to GoFlora Suite, operated from BB7, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and to the website, apps and partner portal we run. It explains how we handle information about passengers, and about the staff of partner organisations who use the portal.

Independent drivers and operators handle some information themselves as well. Where they do, they are responsible for their own handling of it.

What we collect

Account details — your name and email address, and the password you set, which we never see in readable form.

Profile details — a nickname, phone number, home address, a short bio and a link to a profile photo, if you choose to add them. The phone number is the one a driver uses to reach you at pickup.

Trip details — your pickup and drop-off points, the times, passenger numbers, any instructions you add, the offers you received, which one you accepted, and the outcome of the trip.

Messages — messages you exchange with a driver through the app about a trip.

Payment records — the amount, currency, method and status of each payment, and the reference our payment provider returns. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Support and disputes — what you tell us when you raise a dispute or ask for a refund, including anything you attach.

Technical details — a session cookie so you stay signed in, and ordinary server logs such as the pages requested and the time of the request.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service — matching your request to drivers, showing you their offers, getting you picked up, and taking payment.
  • To keep you signed in and to keep your account secure.
  • To support you — answering questions and resolving disputes and refunds, which needs the trip and payment record.
  • For safety and fraud prevention — investigating unsafe conduct or suspicious payment activity.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations, including keeping records of transactions.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your trip history to target advertising.

Location data

Booking a ride means telling us where you want to be picked up and dropped off, so we always hold those two points for a trip.

If you let your browser share your location, we use it to fill in your pickup point — you can always type an address instead, and a booking works without coordinates.

While a trip is under way we show you the driver's approximate position and estimated arrival so you can see how far away they are. That tracking is tied to the trip and stops when the trip ends. We do not track your location in the background when you are not using the service.

Who else sees it

Drivers and operators — the driver who takes your trip sees your name, your phone number, your pickup and drop-off points, and any instructions you added. They need these to carry out the trip.

Partners — where a hotel or tour operator arranges and funds a ride for you, that partner can see the ride they arranged and its cost, because it is billed to them.

Our payment provider, Payonify — to take payment and issue refunds.

Service providers that host our systems and send our email, acting on our instructions.

Authorities, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Payments

Payments are handled by Payonify. When you pay, your card or mobile-money details go to them, not to us. We receive back only the result — whether it succeeded, the amount, and a reference we can use for refunds and support. Payonify handles those details under its own privacy terms.

Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to remember that you are signed in. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page, so it cannot be turned off while you use an account. We also store small preferences in your browser, such as whether you chose dark mode and whether the sidebar is collapsed; these never leave your device.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and profile for as long as your account is open. Trip and payment records are kept longer, because we need them to handle later disputes and to meet accounting and tax obligations.

When you ask us to delete your account we remove your profile and stop using your data to provide the service, but we retain the transaction records we are required to keep, and no longer than that requires.

Your choices and rights

You can view and change your name, nickname, phone number, address, bio and photo at any time on your profile page.

You can also ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct something that is wrong;
  • delete your account;
  • stop using your information in a particular way, or object to a use.

Write to terencechangadeya@gmail.com and we will respond. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.

Security

Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted, passwords are stored hashed rather than in readable form, and access to systems holding personal data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects you we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

GoFlora Suite is not intended for children, and accounts are for people old enough to enter a binding contract where they live. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it. Children can of course travel as passengers on a booking made by an adult.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and we will give notice in the app or by email if a change materially affects you.

For anything about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights above, contact terencechangadeya@gmail.com or +263 778 463 020, or write to BB7, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
